4cm or 2cm Hatashita Tatami Mats

Traditional straw tatami were only slightly softer than hardwood and offered little absorption but what they did offer was an excellent firm surface that provided great grip for fast footwork.  Ideal for martial arts but bad for your joints and injuries.  The NEW 4cm Hatashita Tatami provides the performance of the traditional straw surface combined with excellent impact absorption to meet the challenge of the hardest falls and to provide a safe and effective training surface for beginners to Olympic champions.
